1) No time to die

Action and the James Bond franchise go hand in hand, and Prime Video brings the latest Bond film to their platform. no time to die is a 2021 spy action thriller and it’s the last time we’ll see Daniel Craig as an MI6 agent.

The film stars Léa Seydoux, Ana de Armas, Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Ralph Fiennes and Christoph Waltz alongside Craig.

No Time to Die tells the story of a retired Bond who returns to the field to help a CIA friend with an extraction. He is tasked with bringing back Project Heracles, a nanobot technology capable of killing with the touch of skin, which fell into Spectre’s hands.

Bond faces a new adversary, Lyutsifer Safin, a terrorist mastermind on a mission of revenge who has taken over the Heracles project.


2) Italian work

Italian work is a 2003 heist action film that features an ensemble cast including Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham, Edward Norton, Seth Green, Mos Def, and Donald Sutherland. Based on the British film of the same name, the film was a commercial success, grossing $176 million worldwide, against a budget of $60 million.

The film follows a five-person team executing a $35 million heist of an Italian mobster only to be botched by their sixth member, who takes the goods for himself and leaves them to die.

The team narrowly escapes and recruits their slain comrade’s daughter to take down the traitor and reclaim the spoils of their heist.

Italian work has amazing chase sequences and mini coopers racing through traffic to escape a helicopter.


3) The protege

The protected is a 2021 action-thriller from director Martin Campbell and stars Maggiee Q, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson in the lead roles. A movie starring Samuel L. Jackson doesn’t really go wrong with its action sequences, and The protected book. With well-choreographed and entertaining fight sequences, the film checks all the boxes for a fun watch.

The protected revolves around Anna, a young girl taken under the wing of the legendary assassin Moody and raised to become a top hitman. When Moody is supposedly killed, Anna sets out to get revenge on the person who killed her guardian. The movie has all the tropes of a modern action movie and even throws in a bit of wry Keaton humor here and there to keep things interesting.


4) Upper gun

If you’re bored of all the melee combat and gunfire in the aforementioned titles, Prime Video also has some mid-air action footage in the 1986 starring Tom Cruise. Superior gun.

Predecessor to the hit 2022 sequel Top Gun: Maverickwhich took the box office by storm, the original film also received great critical and commercial acclaim for its incredible dogfight sequences.

The film revolves around Pete “Maverick” Mitchell as the prodigy of his generation of pilots – breaking the rules, being famous among the ladies, and being the best at his job. The story follows him as he grows from a lone ranger to a team player, after the death of his friend makes him realize the importance of having someone to watch your back.

For more diversity among these action-packed titles, Prime Video has also Akimbo Firearms to offer. The film is a 2020 action-comedy starring Daniel Radcliffe as internet troll Miles Harris, alongside Samara Weaving, Ned Dennehy and Natasha Liu Bordizzo.

Akimbo Firearms revolves around Miles, an internet troll who is forced into a deathmatch by an underground organization called Skizm. He gets guns bolted to his two hands with 50 bullets each, and has to face the best killer in the game, Nix.

He is continuously followed and streamed live for viewers online as he fights to survive and save his kidnapped girlfriend.

The movie is full of high-octane fun, with our beloved Harry Potter actor running around with guns and bleeding himself in the process. Akimbo Firearms is fast and keeps you on the edge of the seat for all of its 95 minutes.
