I hope all the fans of the original manga will come to see the movies, because it’s really packed with highlights. I don’t I have high hopes!
Arakawa went on to say that she was excited from “the very first scene” of the film, before praising the film’s actors, from the fights of the actors playing Edward Elric and Team Xing to the range of emotions. portrayed by Tsubasa Honda, who is set to play Winry Rockbell in both films.
“I was excited from the very first scene where Ed and Team Xing were fighting,” Arakawa said. “Lan Fan was particularly cool! Yamada-kun, who played Ed, became a very engaging protagonist with a richer range of emotions in his acting. Also, Tsubasachan’s crying performance made me cry too. But the part that made me cry the most was the Fu-jiisan scene. I thought, “Oh, this is what live action is like.” I drew this story myself, but combined with the incredible advancements in computer graphics, I was able to enjoy the film feeling fresh from start to finish.
