Liam Neeson, 68, says he’s retiring from action movies


Oscar nominee Liam Neeson announced Thursday that he has had enough of vigilante justice and plans to retire from the action genre after two more redemption films planned.

‘Oh yes. I think so. I am 68 and a half years old. 69 that [June]’the knighted Northern Irishman told ET.

“There are a few more that I’m going to do this year – hopefully COVID allows us to – there are a few in the pipeline and, so I think it probably will. Well, unless I’m on a [walker] or something.’

However, Liam admits he will miss “beating guys half my age”.

“I love doing them,” Neeson noted.

‘I just finished [Blacklight] in Australia and I had a fight scene with a kid – a sweet, sweet actor called Taylor – and halfway through the fight I looked up, I was out of breath and it didn’t hurt him. not cost a dime, and I said, “Taylor, how old are you?” He said “25”. I said, “This is the age of my oldest son [Micheál Richardson]! “‘

And although Liam previously said he was done with superhero movies, he said he would “call his agent” to see if Patty Jenkins wanted him to play Diana Prince’s dad (Gal Gadot ) Zeus in Wonder Woman 3.
