Towards the end of last year, the nation began tapping into the Netflix miniseries The Queen’s Gambit.
And it turned out to be quite popular with viewers.
This coming-of-age drama – based on Walter Tevis’ 1983 novel of the same name – tells the story of Beth, an orphan who develops a strange talent for chess.
Described as “intimate” and “emotional” by the video streaming site, the seven-part series was so well received that a Netflix special titled Create the Queen’s Bet was also released earlier this year.
But if you’ve ever over-watched the whole series – and listened to the one-off documentary – you might be looking for other things to enjoy of a similar genre and nature.

The two were praised for their periodic detailed costume design.
