Pongalo, a marketplace for Latin media brands, has launched MOOVIMEX, an ad-supported OTT on-demand service featuring Mexican action, narco and comedy films for men. The service will also begin offering a linear MOOVIMEX channel in the coming weeks.
MOOVIMEX is initially available through Roku, Xumo, Vewd, OperaTV, YouTube, and TubiTV. His Mexican Spanish-language films are drawn from Pongalo’s library of over 13,000 hours of original and licensed film and television content.
“The launch of our ad-supported OTT service MOOVIMEX further expands our reach with a new offering targeting adult Latino men who enjoy Mexican movies,” said Richard Hull, Founder and CEO of Pongalo.
Content Director Rick Rodriguez said, “Our goal is to cover the Latin media landscape with on-demand and linear offerings for every audience and every business model. We hope that the main platforms will soon see how particularly engaged Latino audiences are and create categories dedicated to Latinos – which will of course be populated with the different offerings in our market.
The new service joins the company’s namesake service, Pongalo, a premium movie and television subscription service for Latin women.
